Shincheonji Church of Jesus teaches the entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, with the word as the standard. All the saints of Shincheonji Church of Jesus know the deep meaning of the Bible which they learned from Chairman Lee who is the servant of Jesus. This is as it is written in the Bible that they will all know God, from the least of them to the greatest (Heb 8:10-12). As people of faith, we believe that knowing the word is our expression of our love for God.

What believers usually ask us:

Shincheonji Church of Jesus (SCJ) acquired its name ‘New Heaven and New Earth’ (NHNE) from what is recorded in the Bible (Rv 21:1). ’Shincheonji’ is the abbreviated form of  ‘New Heaven and New Earth’ in Korean. The owner of this church is Jesus and we preach the revelation of Jesus Christ which is why we are called Shincheonji Church of Jesus (Rv. 1:1).

We teach the entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, in a way that the 5W1H questions are answered. This teaching cohesively connects all the books from Genesis to Revelation and it clearly explains God’s reason and objective for giving us the Bible.

All members of NHNE live a life of faith that is based on this Understanding of the Word and in order to accomplish Jesus’ commands with this Word that we have understood, we are evangelizing and serving in many different parts of the world.

Perhaps the unique thing about NHNE is that it teaches the New Testament prophecies in the 4 gospels as well as the book of Revelation, where the New Testament prophecies are consolidated, to anyone who is interested. The content and objective of these books as well as the reality of their  fulfillment are taught to anyone without cost.

On the surface, the reason for this is the black propaganda that has been led by influential churches and the most powerful pastors’ organization in Korea. For a very long time, they have been using all means possible, including the internet and media, to maliciously distort NHNE to the point that the average believer could not make an objective nor biblical judgment. The reason for all the persecution, accusation, and distortion is the teaching of NHNE which is a new teaching. By ‘new teaching’, we do not mean a different gospel or a different Bible.

What we teach is the revealed word – the word of the New Testament had been sealed but it is now open. The word of prophecy had been sealed with parables (Am 3:7, Hos 12:10) but we teach and testify their true meanings and the realities that have been fulfilled according to the prophecies and in that sense, this is a new teaching.

In the same way, the Old Testament was sealed in parables until the time of its fulfillment (i.e. first coming). Hence the gospel that Jesus preached (Mk 1:27) and the gospel that his disciples preached (Ac 17:19) were also called “new teaching.”

Another reason for the rumors is despite all the accusations, distortion and persecution over a long period of time, NHNE has been growing rapidly. In 2019 alone, 103,764 members completed their theology education at Zion Mission Center. Even in this time of pandemic, many believers are studying online and even pastors are currently studying all over the world. These facts may be uncomfortable but the judgment on whether a teaching is heresy or orthodoxy has to made based solely on the Bible. The doctrine, history, influence and size of one’s denomination as well as what many people have to say cannot be the standard. Jesus taught us not to judge by mere appearances but to make a right judgment (Jn 7:24). He said to interpret the present time and judge for ourselves what is right (Lk 12:56-57). The standard for that judgment should be the Bible.

The Bible is a book of covenant between God and His chosen people. God’s covenant will fulfill no matter what. Everything that God promised in the Old Testament was fulfilled through the Jesus. Among the things that fulfilled, there were two important events – the sowing of two kinds of seed and the making of a new covenant with the blood that was shed on the cross for the atonement of sins. This new covenant was sealed in parables and God said that when the end time comes, He will fulfill the prophecies of this new covenant. The time when the sealed word of prophecy of the new covenant is opened is called the “end time”. It is also called “the harvest time.” To say that the sealed word of prophecy is open means that the prophecies fulfill and its realities appear before our eyes. Therefore, if the true meaning of the prophecies that had been sealed in parables can be known and if the realities that have fulfilled according to the prophecies can be compared and confirmed through the prophecies – wouldn’t that be the evidence? We invite everyone to come and hear the Word and check the realities themselves with the Bible as the standard so that they may know whether this testimony is true or not. This is the reason we invite everyone to our Bible study.

It is NOT true that we say Chairman Lee is one of the Trinity, God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit. He is also NOT the second coming of Jesus. Despite having clarified this countless times, these false claims are continuously being spread unchecked. Spreading false accusations is definitely not the will of God.

We emphatically state that Chairman Lee is NOT one of the Trinity, God, Jesus, Comforter, or the Holy Spirit.

Chairman Lee is a servant of God who has been chosen by Jesus according to the prophecy of the Book of Revelation. He has received the revealed word (i.e.  the revelation of Jesus Christ) which contains the secrets of the kingdom of heaven that had been sealed in parables.

He has received the task of preaching what he has seen and heard to the churches. He is the one who speaks on behalf of Jesus who is tasked to lead all of us to our Savior Jesus Christ. Because of the testimony that Chairman Lee received, we are certain that he is the pastor chosen by Jesus who speaks on his behalf.

And we, as fellow servants of God, do not worship him by any means. Frankly, don’t all priests and pastors say that they have been anointed by God and Jesus? Isn’t it through this belief that they are able to celebrate the mass, lead the worship service and preach the word? We could all go our own way if this weren’t the time of Revelation’s fulfillment.

But if this indeed is the end time and the time of Revelation’s fulfillment, then shouldn’t we find the pastor who has been especially chosen by Jesus to receive the revealed word and therefore can testify the true meaning of the prophecies and their fulfilled realities? We must be able to distinguish him through the fruit of his mouth which is the word of God and the fruit of his deeds that fulfill those words.

This is a question that needs to be asked of God and the Bible. Salvation can only be found in God, Jesus and the Bible (Jn 1:1-4, 1 Jn 1:1-2). Thus, if the Bible says there is no salvation, then there is no salvation. If God and Jesus say that there is salvation, then there is salvation.

Before churches or denominations argue over God’s plan of salvation, perhaps a more important question to ask is if a church is created according to the Bible and if the faith life carried out in that church is also according to the Bible (Mt 7:21).These are things that can only be confirmed by the word that is taught in that church and how these words are put into action (Mt 7:15-20).

The position of NHNE is to know the true meaning of the Bible and to live out our faith according to this teaching.

In Matthew 7 and Luke 13, the disciples ask Jesus if only a few will be saved. Jesus answered, “the road to destruction is wide and broad and many enter through it but the road to life is small and narrow and only a few find it.” This means that the road to life is small and narrow therefore it is difficult, doesn’t it? Jesus also said that the days of his second coming will be like the days of Noah and Lot. Eight people were saved at the time of Noah and only three were saved at the time of Lot. The word of the Bible tells us that the road to salvation is not an easy path.

The thing that guides us on how we can walk this difficult path to salvation righteously without losing our way is the word of God. Thus, the answer to the question of salvation should be found in God and Jesus – that is, the word of God (Jn 1:1-4, 1 Jn 1:1-2).

This rumor is the result of a misunderstanding and therefore, a lie.

If Jesus gave his revealed word at the end time, what would it be for? Would it be to say, “Destroy all other churches to increase the number of your own church and be merry”?

God and Jesus are not that small.

Both God and Jesus are love.

They had to choose a flesh (i.e. a person) that would preach the revealed word. In the midst of much persecution and hardship, a small number of believers were gathered and God’s work of salvation had to begin in this humble manner. But ultimately, their desire is for everyone to hear the revealed word and come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved.

This is why we at NHNE teach and share this Word through our Zion Mission Center to everyone without cost.

There have been many times when pastors who had been studying with us understood what a fearful thing it is to preach the word of God to their members without full understanding themselves. They have asked NHNE to take over their church and their members because of the difficulty in handling them. But Chairman Lee has said to the pastors that they should study hard instead so that they themselves can teach the sheep of Jesus well. He said that they preached with fear even without the full understanding of God’s word and now they must study as hard as they can, with the heart of putting on this revealed word as a gift of heaven that has been given without cost, and teach it. Chairman Lee added, “The salvation of many is on the shoulders of these pastors therefore they must study and teach the Word with a fearful and trembling heart.” Even the idea of, “taking over my church and stealing my members” doesn’t really make sense. There is no “my church and my members.” There is only “Jesus’ church and Jesus’ sheep.”

Let us all let go of greed for power and authority. Let us stop unconditionally claiming that “my teaching is right” or saying, “Our denomination’s teaching is correct.” Let us stop blindly cursing, accusing and persecuting without looking at the Bible. Let us stop all this and let us seek the truth together instead.

Seeking, studying, meditating on what is true and what is false – wouldn’t this be the will of God and Jesus?

If this Word is the revealed word of Jesus and the truth, then we must be one in the truth. As believers, we must pray and seriously think about this with the Bible as our common ground. We can deny it all we want, there may be all kinds of hearsay about NHNE, but if we are believers whose faith is centered on the Bible then shouldn’t we discern which word is the truth? And shouldn’t we follow this word of truth no matter what other people say?
