Introduction to the Philippine Church
Shincheonji Church of Jesus teaches the entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, with the word as the standard. All the saints of Shincheonji Church of Jesus know the deep meaning of the Bible which they learned from Chairman Lee who is the servant of Jesus. This is as it is written in the Bible that they will all know God, from the least of them to the greatest (Heb 8:10-12). As people of faith, we believe that knowing the word is our expression of our love for God.
‘Shincheonji’ means ‘new heaven and new earth’ as it is written in Rv 21:1. ‘Church of Jesus’ means that Jesus is the owner of Shincheonji. ‘Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony’ refers to the temple that is written in Rv 15:5. Shincheonji Church of Jesus is made up of 12 tribes. There are about 70 branch churches in Korea and there are branch churches worldwide as well. The Philippine Church is an overseas branch church that belongs to John Tribe among the 12 tribes. The Philippine Church started when Chairman Lee paid his first visit to the country in 2013 and held a large Bible seminar. Many who attended the seminar wanted to learn the word and in June and July of the same year, the first Zion Christian Mission Center was opened. The first graduation was held in January 26, 2014 and the church has been growing every year since. Today, there are many believers who are living their lives of faith in the Luzon area like in Manila and Cavite. Currently, there are hundreds of students who enroll at Zion Christian Mission Center every month and study the Bible with us online.
Furthermore, the Philippine Church has been breaking down the barriers of bias, misconception and judgment among the different denominations and continuously carry out dialogues of peace that are based on the Bible. Our efforts have always been directed at finding the answers and true meanings of things that are difficult to understand in the Bible – through the Bible, together. Rather than condemning and fighting each other because of our different teachings, we exert our efforts to converse peacefully to find the truth with the Bible as our standard. We believe that as believers of one God, we must endeavor to become one and be examples of love.
The Philippine Church is now open to all believers who want to know the word. With the Zion Christian Mission Center opening online, anyone can systematically study the word and there are no longer any geographical restrictions. We are also participating in a podcast where we get to share the word with different denominations in order to spread it far and wide in the world. Additionally, the doors to the Shincheonji online open worship has been opened wide for anyone who wants to join us and hear the word.
Most Christians today believe that this is the end time. If this is the end time of Jesus’ new covenant and we know that we receive salvation by the faith that comes from knowing God and Jesus (Jn 17:3), we believe that we must know the details of Jesus’ new covenant and be able to keep it.
God referred to Himself as the Word and He said that in the Word is life, everything has been created through the Word and this Word is the light of men (Jn 1:1-4). The light of this Word shone brightly to the world but the people of darkness who believed it was not necessary to know the Word closed their ears and they did not understand (Jn 1:5).
If our time today is the end time, that Word of light and life would be open and shining brightly in the darkness (Dn 12:4). Between this light and darkness, we must sincerely ask ourselves whether we are believers who belong to the light or believers who belong to the darkness and answer with our choices and our life (1 Thes 5:1-8).
The mission of Shincheonji Church of Jesus is faith, hope and love. Our mission is to examine our faith through the word of God as we live out the end time and keep our faith upright based on the word so that we may all receive salvation.
Zion Christian Mission Center (ZCMC) and ZION Holy Spirit Theology Center (ZHTC) are Online Bible Theological Studies under New Heaven and New Earth (NHNE) established through the cumulative efforts of a group of individuals dedicated to the field of Theology. We aim to push the boundaries of religion, culture, geographic location, time, and finances by harnessing the power of the internet to achieve connectivity in learning the word of God.
As people who believe in God Almighty and the words of promise He gave men through the Holy Scriptures (Heb 8:10-12), we put religion and belief system aside in order to focus on the wisdom that can be gained through the ‘one truth’ – that is the Word of God (Jn 17:17, Ps 119:160) all in unity to achieve peace (Gal 5:22, Rm 14:19) through one standard – the Holy Bible. (Ps 119:165,
Phil 4:7)
Zion Christian Mission Center shares the responsibility of spreading the Word of God based on the Holy Bible. The objectives of the theology center are centered on the following:
To establish the truth written in the Bible: (Jn. 1:1-4; Jn. 17:17)
To instill moral conduct:
